Belly dancing sounds so exotic and interesting! I’ve watched belly dancing on TV and it looks delightful. The movements and colours are spectacular.

Belly dance is a Middle Eastern dance that originated in Egypt, which features movements of the hips and torso. An expressive dance, and it is one of the oldest forms of dance.

I’ve also watched my mom try this dancing and I’d like to say … let me find the most diplomatic words … it’s very humorous.

I can’t even try due to the shape of my body. I do know for sure that I have a belly button, aka “napa” in Finnish, and Iove having that rubbed and tickled. Perhaps, my squirming around may be a special version of belly dancing for four-leggeds?

So, I was just wondering, have you ever attempted or aspired to belly dancing?

“I Was Just Wondering” is a Sunday feature on Sudbury.com from Finn, a Brussels griffon breed of dog, and his “mom”, Jaana Pirnes. Come back next week to see what Finn is up to. Got a question for Finn? You can email him at [email protected].
