For over 25 years, new and seasoned musicians have delighted crowds from June to August with free concerts in Bell Park every Sunday evening starting at 7:00pm.
June 4 Good Vibes – GHA
Born out of the woodwork of Northern Ontario’s music venues, Good Vibes has quickly become one of Sudbury’s best party bands, with a set list full of one-hit wonders, guilty pleasures and crowd-pleasing favourites. The trio of Patrick Wright, Ryan McIntosh and Nik Goulet offers a hard-hitting set loaded with tight grooves and soaring three-part vocal harmonies. With a repertoire spanning the 60s to today, you may even find yourself singing along. Dancing shoes not required, but highly recommended!
June 11 Rod Bazinet – WBG
Rod Bazinet is a contemporary musician who has been entertaining professionally for over 40 years. Best known for being the lead singer of Saturday Night Special, and former lead vocalist for the Blues Brothers, Rod brings a solo collection of favourites that span multiple generations of music fans.
June 18 Andy Lowe – WBG
Andy Lowe is a Sudbury-based singer songwriter who has been entertaining in local venues for 35 years. His album, A Sudbury Songbook, launched his mission to celebrate the mid-North in song, and he has written and recorded more than 30 songs about things that make our region unique. Accompanied by guitar and harmonica, he is a storyteller who never fails to connect with his audience.
June 25 Chanelle Albert & the Easy Company – WBG
Chanelle Albert & the Easy Company are an independent psychedelic folk-rock band based out of Sudbury, Ontario. The group is fronted by the bilingual singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Chanelle Albert, who is accompanied by Andrew Gagnon on drums, Jacob Tyler on bass, and Josh Myre on guitar. Their craft is greatly influenced by artists such as Supertramp, Genesis and The Moody Blues.
July 2 SEVEN + ONE – WBG
SEVEN + ONE is a family acoustic trio playing folk and soft rock, including their own originals. They love to play at festivals and fundraisers and have played at small bar venues and even a private party! In case you’re wondering about their band name, they named it after a loved one they lost to cancer. His favourite number was seven, and they changed their band name on the first anniversary of his passing. The number one also denotes new beginnings.
July 16 NADJIWAN – WBG
Nadjiwan is a Canadian Indigenous rock band that blends elements of traditional Indigenous music with contemporary rock and roll. The band was formed in 1993 by singer-songwriter Marc Merilainen (Nadjiwan), who is a member of the Chippewas of Nawash First Nation in Ontario. Nadjiwan has several albums, has toured extensively across Canada and the United States and is recognized for its unique sound and its contributions to the Indigenous music scene in Canada
July 23 Patrick Therrien – WBG
Patrick has been writing and recording songs from the age of 14, first with his cousin in his bedroom, then with his brother and friend Eric with Elephant Band in his twenties. After a brief pause, Patrick, now in his late 40s, has begun writing, recording and releasing music. His new project is called Elephantshoes. You can hear his music and show your support on all major streaming platforms.
July 30 Pop Mach!ne – GHA
Pop Mach!ne is a rock band composed of five young members from our community looking to rock their way through the charts. This dynamic group bridges the age gap in music lovers by spreading classic rock to the younger generation. The members are Cassandra Walli (lead guitar), Chris Walli (bass guitar), Candice Duval (rhythm guitar and vocals), Emily Duval (keys and lead vocals), and Keegan Beaulieu (drums).
August 6 Tea and Tequila – MEM
Tea & Tequila is an upbeat, acoustic cover band who likes to have FUN! They play a large variety of music from classic rock, country to today’s top 40 tunes. In their short year and a half together, they have played many different venues, from local bars, restaurants, festivals and fundraisers to private parties. The band loves audience participation and will invite people on stage with them to sing backup or play the tambourine. Tea & Tequila is the perfect addition to any event or party!
August 13 Gavin Martin & the Folsom Blues – WBG
Gavin Martin and the Folsom Blues are a five-piece band that includes vocals, drums, as well as bass, electric and acoustic guitars. These young men are entering the world of performing arts and music with plenty of new talent and passion. They play a mix of rock, blues and country tunes along with a lot of rockabilly. They are incredibly excited to show you what they can do and will be sure to have you dancing along!
August 20 Swing Fever Octet – KBG
The Swing Fever Octet, founded by the late Peter Schneider, has been entertaining Sudbury-area listeners and dancers for more than 25 years. The Swing Fever Octet plays a mix of well-known tunes from the big band era, ballroom rhythms and popular covers, for a beautiful evening of music under the stars. A perennial favourite of the Peter Schneider Concert Series, Swing Fever has proudly carried on Peter’s legacy by offering a fun, family-friendly dance on the final evening of the concert series, each year since the concerts began.

Please note: Concerts are held at one of three locations within Bell Park; the William Bell Gazebo, the Katherine Bell Gazebo or the Grace Hartman Amphitheatre. The venue selection is determined by Leisure Services based on a number of criteria, including size of performing group, expected attendance, technical requirements and the availability of locations. If a concert is held at the Gazebo, seating is not provided. Guests are encouraged to bring a folding chair. There is fixed seating at the Amphitheatre, but guests are welcome to bring chairs if they wish to sit in the grass area.
