Ben Irantalab

Lawyer

Ben first joined Oatley Vigmond as a summer student in May 2013. He returned to Oatley Vigmond as an articling student, and was later welcomed to the firm as an associate lawyer following his call to the bar in June 2015. Ben holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Ottawa, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in International Affairs from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA) at Carleton University, and an Honours B.A. in Criminology from York University.

Ben enjoys the complexities of personal injury litigation. His practice is exclusively devoted to representing clients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and severe orthopedic injuries. For Ben, the cases that require special creativity and thinking outside the box are most gratifying.

Ben has represented clients successfully at all levels of the court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal, as well as the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench. He has also acted for clients on leave applications to the Supreme Court of Canada.

While in law school, Ben competed at the 2013 Philip C.
