Terry Kett - City Council Candidate

I’m a lifelong Sudbury resident and live in Ward 11. I was a high school teacher for 25 years, and a businessman for eight years. I have a BA from Laurentian and a MA from Central Michigan University.

My three daughters have all completed post-secondary education and are leading successful careers. I am so proud of them. My 3-year-old grandson, Alex, is the apple of my eye.

WHY AM I RUNNING?:

I am running because I believe that a person can make a difference to the quality of life in our city. My goal is to improve people’s lives and feel that I can do this as a councillor. I have 19 years’ municipal experience including being a councillor and mayor of Walden for 12 years, and eight years on Greater Sudbury council.

I have a vision of Sudbury being the vibrant, growing capital of Northern Ontario; a great place to live and invest. I’m a fairly outspoken, determined person, and this quality has always helped me be heard by councillors and staff alike in order to work toward that vision. Add my experience to this determination means that I can get things done at city hall.
