Thorneloe University theatre professor Patricia Tedford presents the world premiere of her production “St. Ella of the Camino” at the school's Ernie Checkeris Theatre on several dates in early October.

Presented by Text Me Productions, the show is written and performed by Patricia Tedford.

Funny, surprising, quirky and touching, St. Ella of the Camino follows Ella as she makes the 790 kilometre walk of the Camino Frances.

Ella wishes to be a Saint but realizes as she journeys that she is far from it. Along the way she meets a cast of colourful characters who unintentionally ignite her curiosity again giving her a new perspective.

St. Ella of the Camino is a World Premiere, one-woman show that follows Ella's journey of self-discovery, going to battle with herself as she does the walk.

A playful, poignant, and moving work written and performed by Patricia Tedford, accompanied by an original score performed by Marsha Coffey, with images and video footage from the Camino- Directed by Lorne Pardy and Andy Massingham.

This story looks at life through the lens of a questioning “50 something” who really doesn't know what the point is - anymore. But she learns...

The show runs Oct. 3-5 at 8 p.m. and Oct. 6 at 2:30 p.m. at the Ernie Checkeris Theatre at Thorneloe University (on the Laurentian University campus).
