A night of family-friendly fun is coming to the Caruso Club on July 7 when Rock Solid Wrestling makes its return to Sudbury.

Canadian Heavyweight champion Tyler Tirva will do battle with Irish Jake O'Reilly, Impact Wrestling's Rosemary will meet KC Spinelli in the squared circle and Sudbury's own Mark Tornado will square off with Notorious TIV.

Six matches in total will go down on July 7 in a night where all proceeds will go to the Sudbury Playground Hockey League.

“That's where my family got their start in hockey and it's a really good cause,” said Mark Tornado. “This is the fourth year we've raised money for the SPHL and all the guys are really happy to help out.”

General admission is $15 for kids and adults and tickets can be pre-purchased at the Caruso Club or at the door the night of the event.

“It's cheaper than a night out at the movies,” said Tornado.

“What I really like about the Caruso Club is that it's a smaller venue for us, so there's not a bad seat in the place. No matter where you're sitting you're going to see and hear all of the action.”

Rock Solid Wrestling will also be the kick-off for Italian Fest.

The crowds are always receptive and enthusiastic in Sudbury according to Tornado and the wrestlers are happy to interact with fans on hand.

“There's an intermission where the wrestlers are circulating around so there's a chance to meet them,” said Tornado.

“It's just a really fun family event and it's pretty bare-bones, the guys are driving up for gas money to get there, they know it's for a really good cause and they're all supportive.”
