I am completely baffled once again by the
continued lack of direction in city council's priorities.
The city's new image (will) cost from $75,000
to $148,130 to $300,000 for the different stages of the
campaign.
Comparing us to the "I love New York"
campaign is ridiculous. How can we compare ourselves? We are at
opposite ends of the scale. We are a small community.
Rather than spending this money to promote
what we don't have, the city should invest in enhancing our
existing attributes.
I believe council should not get ahead of
itself. Councillor Janet Gasparini, in her own words says,
"Nice roads are useless if there is no one to ride them."
Has she looked out her window to see how much
these roads are being used?
We have a population of 150,000 in addition
to other traffic that flows through our city.
Do nice roads matter? It means a lot more
than promoting our community for something we do not have. Fix
Sudbury before promoting it.
