City council must address electronic
tabulation machines used in the last election.
The integrity of an election is a matter that
concerns not only elected members, but also the electors as a
whole. One of the duties cast upon those elected to municipal
office is to ensure that an election is conducted properly.
It's a matter of political suicide for those who choose not to
address this important matter.
Councillors should bear in mind that the vast
majority of people casting votes are middle-aged and seniors.
We demand the hand-counted vote system. Taxpayers should
contact their councilors and defend our democracy.
