This is an open letter to the Mayor David
Courtemanche. In the light of many incidents in Capreol in the
past months, Capreolonline.com has polled citizens about the
level of policing in town and asked for comments and
suggestions to help alleviate these intolerable
situations.
The poll question asked was: Capreol
taxpayers pay for policing through their taxes. Do you think
the current level of policing is adequate?
Eighty-seven percent said the current level
is not adequate.

I trust the mayor will see it as his
responsibility to the citizens of Capreol to offer an
explanation for the absence of adequate policing and a plan to
alleviate this problem.
Vandalism and crime will always be with us
unless it is curtailed by effective and constant
policing.
