City has compassion - Edgar Burton

The 2003 collections brought in an amazing 32 tons of non-perishables. What started with the suggestion of three young girls 16 years ago has grown and expanded to include over 200 businesses and their employees.

On behalf of The City of Greater Sudbury Business and Employee Food Drive, I would like to thank all the children and students out there. If not for their compassion and humanitarian nature, the food drive would not even be in existence. It just goes to show that children can sometimes be a great example and inspiration to us all. I would also like to send a word of appreciation to volunteers who work so hard year round to make the food drive happen. Their dedication year after year has been a major key to our success.
