Recently we celebrated our mother's 95th
birthday. Mom is a very hale and hearty 95 year old, thanks to
the wonderful care she receives at Extendicare
Falconbridge.
She arrived at Extendicare in 2001 and we
cannot praise the administration and all the staff enough. With
all the negative publicity concerning nursing homes, we wanted
to take this opportunity to give praise where praise is
due.
When we first brought mom to Extendicare we
were very fearful, as most families are when they have to make
a decision about the care of their loved one. But within a
week, we knew we had made the right decision.
We commend everyone from the administration
staff, the nurses, Dr. Roch, the caregivers, the kitchen staff,
the activity personnel, the custodians, and all the cheerful
front office people who contribute to mom's well-being.
She thrives on the wonderful atmosphere. No
problem is deemed too small or insignificant. Everything is
looked after promptly and efficiently, with everyone pitching
in to solve whatever problem comes up.
We congratulate everyone at Extendicare
Falconbridge for the wonderful job they are doing. A long term
care facility is not just brick and mortar. Rather it is hugs
and kisses, gentle teasing, a cheery "hello" and kind, loving
hands.
We thank you all on behalf of Helen
Schvarczkopf.
