Festival co-ordinator thankful to volunteers - Carolyn LeRoy

The 19th Annual Sudbury Blueberry Festival was a success for those involved in celebrating Sudbury's largest above-ground natural resource. From July 17 to the 24, the Blueberry Festival ran many exciting events throughout the city.

The 19th Annual Sudbury Blueberry Festival was a success for those involved in celebrating Sudbury's largest above-ground natural resource.

From July 17 to the 24, the Blueberry Festival ran many exciting events throughout the city.

The success of this festival could not have been had without many people.

First of all, I would like to thank the Sudbury Blueberry Festival committee members: Vally Laflamme, Brian Kuczma, Colleen Joyce, John Lindsay, Maureen Johnson, Peter Schneider, Joanne Mathieu, Chiman Harsora, Jacqueline Tkachyk and Tina Pilon. These individuals are very dedicated volunteers who play a large part in the festival continuing and growing.

The co-operation, patience, and commitment of the members of the Sudbury Blueberry Festival committee is unwavering.

I would also like to thank the employees of the Older Adult Centre Sudbury.

These employees were always readily available and willing to aid in preparation and implementation of the festival.

Without the help of Tina Pilon, Keith Paulin, Bret Boyd, James Goldsack and John Richer, the festival would surely have not been the great success it was.

Numerous thanks go out to Donna Benoit, special events officer for the City of Greater Sudbury. She continually put herself at the disposal of the festival organizers and was very flexible, informative, personable, and accommodating throughout the planning process of the festival.

Lastly, the sponsors, event holders, and vendors of the Sudbury Blueberry Festival ensure that the festival will remain as a permanent staple in the City of Greater Sudbury.

Without Sudbury Cycle and Marine, Sudbury Regional Credit Union, Ambrosia Jewellers, Downtown Sudbury Metro Centre, OACS, the City of Greater Sudbury, and Investor's Group, the festival would not be possible.

The co-operation, positive attitudes and willingness of each of the vendors and event holders was continual and greatly appreciated.

The involvement of these individuals and sponsors only reassures that the Sudbury Blueberry is a continued success. Most sincere thanks goes out to everyone involved in the 2005 Sudbury Blueberry Festival.
