On Monday, June 13 long-term care workers have planned a peaceful demonstration. This event will begin at 9 am outside of Tom Davies Square. We will walk to Sudbury MPP Rick Bartolucci's office, and share a barbecue lunch and information to raise public awareness of the problems facing
residents, health-care providers and operators in long-term facilities in Ontario.

This government needs to immediately re-instate a minimum standard for nursing and personal care for all long-term care homes. In the last decade, the
level of need, multiple diagnoses, and chronic conditions of disease has unquestionably led to more intensive and heavier care needs being expressed
by residents. Our residents, at minimum, deserve respect and dignity.
