As the Royal Canadian Legion members have
said many times, teach Canadian history in the schools. If it
had been, maybe the grief would have been less for the families
of the Canadian soldiers killed in Afghanistan. In France in
1944, 54 American bombers inadvertently dropped tons of bombs
on Canadian and Polish troops: 65 killed, 250 wounded. War is
hell and mistakes have and always will be made.
