With all the finger-pointing going on about
the outrageous cost over-run on the so called Super Hospital, I
wonder about the money spent in September 2001 in a farce
called the Great Game of Life.
This was intended to make hospital management
and a chosen few employees feel better about themselves, play
games and just have a good time. This just sounds like a $2
million picnic paid for by taxpayers.
I think this money would have been better
spent hiring more people to help the over-worked and
under-staffed hospital employees. Over-work leads to burn out,
mistakes and sick time.
This whole matter should be investigated and
those responsible held accountable for the waste of taxpayers'
money.
