We read with interest Kevin Boyd's letter in
the May 23rd edition and couldn't agree with him more. Many do
not realize lawn mowers can be deadly pieces of
equipment.
We have developed a grass cutting safety
program and have trained the City of Greater Sudbury's summer
students with positive results.
The program consists of in-class and hands-on
training covering various pieces of grass cutting equipment:
weed-eater, self-propelled, push mower, riding lawn mower,
etc.
We are striving to make the work place a much
safer place for all employees.
