The Heritage Society’s 12th Annual Fall Fair on Sept. 8 was stupendous, with more than 10,000 people attending — more than we had anticipated —  from Sudbury, West Nipissing and out of town.

This was our largest and most successful fair ever.

Our small volunteer board of 13 could not organize and host our annual fall fair without the generous long-term support of our business and corporate community and media sponsors, community partners and volunteers.

Thanks to our key long-term sponsors: the City of Greater Sudbury and GS Heritage Museums, who provide us the free use of the Anderson Farm Museum to host our three annual events and other activities and provide some equipment and services for the fair. The fall fair has been made possible in part by an operational grant from the City of Greater Sudbury.

Special thanks to our 26 long-term fall fair business, corporate and community sponsors (cash and in-kind):

-BBQ: 100 per cent sponsored by Battistelli’s YIG [2012-2018], raising $6,005 to support AFMHS's three free annual events; prepared and served by Walden Seniors and Pensioners and Woodworkers.
-Children’s programming: Walden Lions Club, Trinity United Youth Group, Doyle Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, Lively Pensioners Golf, Walden-CAN, Whitefish District Lions and Chelmsford Animal Hospital.
-Annual Shine and Show: Lively Auto Supplies Ltd/NAPA.
-Four marquee tents: Northern Lights Festival Boréal.
-Two free shuttle buses: 100 per cent sponsored by Leuschen Transportation.
