Letter: Community support allows addiction service to flourish
The staff, board of directors and especially the clients of Rockhaven would like to thank the Val Caron RBC for their donation towards our Camp “Easy Does It” program.
The staff, board of directors and especially the clients of Rockhaven would like to thank the Val Caron RBC for their donation towards our Camp “Easy Does It” program. A big thank you and applause goes out to Pauline Robidoux, the bank’s branch manager, for spearheading this venture.
Lyne Poitras, Greg Robidoux, Gisele Hogan and Kyle Perras also volunteered three hours towards Rockhaven’s barbecue/car wash/bake sale. This was the last event before Rockhaven’s name change and amalgamation to Monarch Recovery Services.
Since its inception, the agency has worked with an excess of 4,000 different men to break the cycle of drug and alcohol dependency. With the continued support of community-minded people and agencies, addiction recovery programs will continue to flourish.
This community support enables us to continue our work in assisting the men with achieving and maintaining their recovery. There are also lasting benefits to the children, spouses, loved ones and friends of the men we serve, as well as the community as a whole.
Again, without this support, and the support of others in the community, we would not be able to continue to serve more than 100 new men a year in their new found life of sobriety.
Thank you to all that donated to the bake sale, to the volunteers and to all who came out and supported us that day.
Rockhaven staff, board and clients
