The market downturn in mining has forced Vale to cancel its popular Vale Concert Series that benefited the Sudbury Food Bank. One of the more popular concerts in the series was Ennis. Supplied photo.
Could not believe my eyes when I read that Vale has the nerve to cancel its summer concert series, given all the volunteers who work to make this series a success. And, of course how the community benefits from this event.

And, Vale has the nerve to announce this in almost the same breath as they announce its third-quarter net earnings of $1.7 billion – do they not care that the very ground they stand on is where the profits come from? Not exactly a responsible corporate citizen.
