Recently I was in Azilda visiting my parents.
As I proceeded down their "street" I thought I was going to
lose something on the bottom of my car.
Prevost Street S. has been in bad shape for
years, but after the snow at Christmas and then the deep
freeze, it was worse than a cow trail.
The north end of Prevost Street was built not
too long ago and paved twice in less than a year. The south end
hasn't been touched in years. It needs a complete overhaul.
Driving more than 15 km/hr would do major damage to the bottom
of a vehicle. Heaven forbid an ambulance or fire truck should
have to get down that street in a hurry.
Someone from the city's transportation
division should go for a drive one day on Prevost Street S. But
don't go too fast.
The taxpayers don't want to pay for any
repairs to the city vehicles. It's bad enough having to pay for
the repairs to their own vehicles.
