Thank you for your coverage Sudbury religious
communities pray for peace (March 26). United Church of Canada
members are being asked to place a light blue ribbon outside
their homes and churches, signalling that they are
peacekeepers. The light blue colour denotes the uniforms worn
by United Nations peacekeepers. When we tie a blue ribbon on
our home, we are telling our neighbours that the residents of
the house are praying for an end to war. Peace begins when we
as individuals make decisions about how we want to live, and
how to further God's desire of peace and goodwill to all
people.
