Questions about foreign students - R. Tummino

I can sympathize with the foreign students that attend our colleges or universities in Sudbury, and other parts of Canada, (Northern Life, Feb. 22). My point in this matter is these students are not met with racism, intimidated or discriminated.

My point in this matter is these students are not met with racism, intimidated or discriminated. My feeling is our Canadian students are angry and upset with the costs of attending our school system. When foreign students come to Canada to further their education, one question probably comes to mind.

How could they afford to come to another country and attend our colleges and universities? With tuition fees constantly on the rise, living arrangements costly it is putting a strain on our students. The big picture is who is paying for foreign students education plus living expenses. I think to get to the bottom of this is to have a second article printed about student exchange programs, making people understand who, what and how these students can afford our education system.
