More money comes to Northern Ontario in the
new budget according to some, but does it offset the $600 or
more per family that the new taxes impose?
The Liberals have kept no promises,
suggesting any promise to share revenues is unlikely to be
kept.
Everyone who knew the Liberal tax and spend
history knew this was coming, but even then it seems
unconscionable they get away with it without any consequences.
Hopefully, when everyone feels poorer in three to four years,
the result will be a statement against any politician who
believes lying and
punishing taxpayers for government's
inability to manage is an acceptable course of action.
This is a budget designed to address key
special interest groups, not one designed to engage the average
taxpayer. Not only does the current crop of
Liberals deserve the tag "liar," they skirt
with the more apt appellation of "criminally
incompetent."
Then again, we deserve what we elect, and
that we can field no competent representatives at any level in
government should be of no surprise. No one of
any moral integrity would survive in the
environment.
