Reader thankful for being 'a goddess' - Goddess Fran Nault

I attended Be a Goddess, the ladies' charity auction and dinner for women's programs. It included mini spa services, hors d'oeuvres  and dinner served by area businessmen, policemen, firefighters and local celebrities.

I attended Be a Goddess, the ladies' charity auction and dinner for women's programs. It included mini spa services, hors d'oeuvres  and dinner served by area businessmen, policemen, firefighters and local celebrities.

At dinner, I was served by Alan Stephen, the city's general manager of infrastructure and emergency services who followed instructions and got it right by serving from the left. Lawyer Gerry Guimond gave me my laugh of the day when I told him I'd been to Cuba. I learned that some firefighters are very talented.  We already know that some of them can sing, but did you know that some of them can dance?

Congratulations to all the members of organizing committee of this fabulous event. The dinner and auction raised more than $40,000 for women's programs and services.  My co-workers and I enjoyed this fun event and will definitely be attending again next year!
