Give that young man a cigar!
He's hit the clown right on the nose.
It is refreshing to see Lionel Rudd, who has
an understanding of why taxes have increased, why services have
declined, and possibly, why tuition has increased.
We all understand what can happen without
rules, and people to enforce them, but I think we have reached
a saturation point.
Rudd has done a marvelous job citing several
examples of how over-governed we are in this country, and the
real cost of these inane rules.
When Northern Life publishes the $100,000 per
year club, you will see a number of large salaries that need to
be justified, and this is why we end up with huge amounts of
bureaucracy.
I have watched the $100,000 per year club
increase at a rate that seems proportional to the declining
level of services, or if we still receive the service, chances
are there are user fees attached.
Bureaucracy in this city and country is out
of control, and it is time for our elected officials to take
charge, because if they don't we will be facing a serious cash
crunch, worse than we are in now.
If layoffs in the government are required,
then start from the top, and after they have received a large
severance package, experienced bureaucrats may catch
on with some other government agency.
Oh well, let the good times roll, until we go
broke.
