I recently spent a weekend in Sault Ste.
Marie for my daughter's ringette tournament. It was a great
pleasure to drive on roads without having to dodge potholes and
heaving pavement.
The Sault has a wonderful community centre
with a pool, no make that three separate pools, which the whole
family can enjoy, including a water slide and rope for swinging
into the deep end. There are two rinks in the complex.
What does Sudbury have? Rinks that are
closing so that Sudbury teams have their home ice in
Chelmsford. We pay high taxes already. Where is the money
going? The roads are getting worse every year, and we are
losing more and more of our services.
We enjoyed our drive to the Sault and back
and driving around their streets. We sure knew when we arrived
back in Sudbury. The car started to rattle once again.
