The editor did a commendable job of
criticizing city council for not meeting with the Greater
Sudbury Chamber of Commerce. Such a meeting would have been
timely and is necessary.
However, the editor then proceeded to
denigrate the work of the so-called Silver Seven, who among
them have close to 500 years of wisdom and experience. The
editor suggested their ideas have not changed for two decades.
They have not even been together as a group for more than five
or six years, and their main idea has been to minimize costs
without the sacrifice of services to the benefits of all
Sudbury taxpayers. I am sure the editor is capable of
better.
