Sour grapes - Noreen Brownridge

I was surprised with former mayor Jim Gordon's recent comments regarding Sudbury MPP Rick Bartolucci's work on four-laning Highway 69. I would have thought he would have been happy to finally see real work starting on the highway.

I was surprised with former mayor Jim Gordon's recent comments regarding Sudbury MPP Rick Bartolucci's work on four-laning Highway 69.

I would have thought he would have been happy to finally see real work starting on the highway.

Can he really deny that Bartolucci has done more in government (to push this project forward) than anyone else has in living memory?

Partisan politics aside, one would be hard-pressed to find anyone who works harder to represent this community that Bartolucci.

Since before Christmas I have heard Bartolucci announcing contracts going out for tender and contracts being awarded. The former Tory government failed to deliver even one inch of four-laning the highway between Parry Sound and Sudbury.

I found Gordon's public musings to be built not on facts and to be no more than an unfair and inaccurate attack. He also seized on the opportunity to
beat his own drum. I think this is a case of sour grapes.
