Store hours archaic - Shirley Rowe

How do we improve the image of Sudbury when we're the only city in Canada where Sears could not keep extended hours for a special promotion in early May.
How do we improve the image of Sudbury when we're the only city in Canada where Sears could not keep extended hours for a special promotion in early May. Is it any wonder with such archaic rationale that the population of the metro area of Sudbury, which was 117,075 is 1966, has grown so little? Should it not be better to let consumers dictate shopping hours and (for council) to get on with the business of developing this great city of ours?

As for the Sudbury Regional Hospital, has anyone questioned how many operating room suites we will have lost on completion? A referral centre isn't very effective when the citizens will just see waiting time for surgery lengthened even more as we receive patients from northeastern Ontario with fewer beds and operating room suites than we previously utilized.
