I commend Northern Life and Heidi Ulrichsen
for the balanced reporting on the protest at Diane Marleau's
office last Friday.
I am opposed to changing the definition of
marriage for many reasons. I am still amazed and baffled that
our country has come to this. I could never imagine we would
question the sanctity of marriage on a national level. We are
sustaining an attack against very basic core values in the name
of human rights. There is madness in the land. A truly
democratic country ensures that small minorities do not impose
their views on the majority while protecting the freedom of
those minorities.
I disagree with Gary Kinsman, who says the
fight against gay marriage is losing the battle. Marriage and
family is entrenched in the heart and minds of most
Canadians.
