We would like to thank all who contributed to relief efforts for Iraq. Many individuals, groups and churches across the area contributed and about 60 relief kits of personal hygiene items have been delivered to the Mennonite Central Committee depot in Kitchener. In addition to those boxes, valued at about $4,000, cash donations of around $650 were received. Waters Mennonite Church also hosted a yard and bake sale May 3 with net proceeds going to our international relief work. Again, many contributed and another $1,800 was raised. Thanks is due to all who, in various ways, have shown their care for the needs of others.
