Transit terminal too cold - Linda Marsh

With the threat of rolling blackouts, it amazes me that some of our local businesses, including pharmacies, grocery stores, malls but especially Greater Sudbury Transit are still operating their air conditioners at what appears to be at full capacity

With the threat of rolling blackouts, it amazes me that some of our local businesses, including pharmacies, grocery stores, malls but especially Greater Sudbury Transit are still operating their air conditioners at what appears to be at full capacity.

As I walk through the Sudbury Transit Terminal at 159 Cedar St. on a daily basis, the frigid air hits me instantly. It feels like I've walked into a freezer.

Even though I agree that staff and patrons deserve to be comfortable, they shouldn't have to feel like they have to wear scarves and mitts in the middle of July.

Even though it is everybody's responsibility to conserve energy, especially during this heat wave, I believe that in order for others to do so, our municipal government should stop wasting energy and lead by example.
