Do we need a Governor General? An emphatic
no? Isn't it time we did away with all the pomp and ceremony
and get down to the reality of everyday living?
How can she justify spending over $5 million
for herself and her guests when we have so many homeless people
in our society? There are families where children go hungry
because the minimum wage is stretched to the limit providing
only the bare necessities.
Does she have any idea how hard we have to
work to support her lavish lifestyle?
We could use her salary and expense account
and put that money into our health care system. Then we could
have her pay back the $5 million she foolishly spent and build
some low rental housing for our homeless people. The $216,000
spent on landscaping and $77,000 for renovations could feed the
hungry.
It's time we know where our priorities
are.
