As I sit here contemplating which inane
program I want to watch on TV for yet another Saturday night, I
have to ask myself, "where are all the single men in the
Sudbury area?"
Now I am not talking about the men who have
just passed pubescence, but those who have their head on their
shoulders and not up their %$##@. Men who can be bad-boys or a
gentlemen. Men who can be humorous or solemn. Men who are not
afraid to make the commitment of a second date.
It stupefies me how for 10 years while I was
not single, those very men were the ones always trying to
procure a date from me. Now, that I've recently become as
single as a lost sock from the dryer, they are no longer
around. Are those of us who are single and over 30 destined to
live our lives out as such or do we rent a billboard and
advertise ourselves? Should we perhaps do the in thing and
purchase a computer for the sole purpose of prostituting
ourselves on the web, or maybe tie up our phone lines for our
other alternative?
I'm not saying I don't enjoy my own company
but there is definitely something to be said about that first
date filled with anticipation and trepidation.
From one single to another, hope to meet you
out there.
