Aboriginal youth from all Rainbow Secondary Schools participated in leadership activities at the Aboriginal Youth Leadership Program held at Lively District Secondary School this week.
The workshop was presented by Great Lakes Cultural Camps, based in Sault Ste. Marie.
The topic for the day was "Full Esteem Ahead," which focused on teamwork, communication and cooperation, building leadership capacity among First Nations, Métis and Inuit youth.
The camp experience helps students strengthen their character through physical, mental and emotional challenges. Additional leadership sessions called "Hands Across The Border," "Earth Ambassadors" and "Great Lakes Cultural Camp Experience" will be help at the school in the upcoming months.
