Labour Day Weekend approaches, Sudbury — and we all know what that means: delicious ribs and family fun at Downtown Sudbury Ribfest.
You can count on six rib teams competing for Best Ribs, Best Chicken, Best Sauce and the Peoples' Choice Awards on Minto Street while live music hits the main stage Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Music, merchandise and craft vendors, as well as the family area will be located in the Sudbury Arena parking lot while the downtown Farmer's Market takes place across the street. It's sure to be a great weekend.
On account of Ribfest's new location, the classic car and motorcycle show has been cancelled.
Here's what to look forward to:

Boss Hog's BBQ, Crabby's BBQ Shack, Jack the Ribber, Ribs Royale BBQ, Texas Rangers and Smokehouse Bandits serve up hot, juicy, award-winning meats
Elgin Street Market will bustle as always with local produce and products
Music at this year's Ribfest is 100 per cent local with Friday and Saturday sets continuing until 9 p.m. (Find the full schedule here).
