Art exhibition at Sheguiandah gallery

The Centennial Museum & Gallery in Sheguiandah will be hosting an exhibition of works of art by members of the Manitoulin Fine Arts Association until Oct. 25.

The Centennial Museum & Gallery in Sheguiandah will be hosting an exhibition of works of art by members of the Manitoulin Fine Arts Association until Oct. 25.

The exhibit will include paintings in oil, acrylic, pastel and mixed media, pottery, photography, textile art and sculpture.

Artists represented are Ivan Wheale, Linda Williamson, Linda Jack, Petra Wall, Brian Chapman, Brenda Chapman, Erin-Blythe Reddie, Moira Elsley, Lynne Gerrard, Leslie Morin, Andy Smith, Ursula Hettman, Sarah Warburton, Jon Butler, John Knox, Ellen Lewis, Sophie Edwards, Richard Edwards, Patti Johnstone, and Nancy McDermid.

Nancy McDermid, president of the MFAA, said "On behalf of the MFAA I would like to invite the public to visit the museum until Oct. 25 to view this exciting exhibition. The show represents an excellent overview of the calibre of art and the range of media produced by the artist's within the MFAA. Please join us."

The Manitoulin Fine Arts Association has evolved over a 20 year period with a mandate to encourage the development of original visual art by providing opportunities for professional development, experimentation and exhibition and to encourage the appreciation of original visual art with in the group and in the community. The Centennial Museum & Gallery in Sheguiandah is located on Manitoulin Island five minutes south of Little Current on Highway 6.
