If you're a local writer in search of a publisher, here's an event you might be interested in attending.

The Festival of Literary Diversity (FOLD), in partnership with the Ontario Book Publishers Organization, is holding FOLD on the Road events in three Ontario communities this year.

That includes a June 29 event at the Main Library on Mackenzie Street in Sudbury starting at 6 p.m.

The events will consist of panels of Canadian publishers discussing the publishing process, followed by a chance for attendees to meet with publishers one-on-one.

"Promoting diverse books and supporting authors from marginalized communities is not a regional need - it's a national one,” said FOLD festival director and founder Jael Richardson, in a press release.

“FOLD on the Road provides an opportunity to extend the important work of connecting readers and writers throughout the province."
