The Bel Canto Chorus presents its Sing Christmas concert both Thursday and Friday evening this week.
The concerts on both Dec. 6 and 7 start at 7:30 p.m. at St. Andrew's Place on Larch Street.
The 70-voice choir will perform a variety of Christmas and seasonal repertoire, directed by Pamela Teed and accompanied by Suzanne Roy-Wilson.
Special guests, The Sudbury Guitar Trio, will perform some beautiful pieces as well as accompany the choir for three pieces, including an arrangement of Bach’s Ave Maria.
Particularly exciting is a new arrangement of the Magnificat by Mark Hayes.
As well as singing some traditional pieces such as Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Huron Carol, and a medley of French carols, there are classical pieces, funny pieces, and exquisite pieces you may never have before heard.
Tickets for the concerts, which cost $20 each, are available at Jett Landry Music and Grove’s YIG as well as at the door.
