Bike for hospice

The second annual Wheels for Hospice bike and motorcycle ride event takes place Aug. 22.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the hospice, which is located at 1028 South Bay Rd. The tour will start at 10 a.m.

Last year, volunteers raised $12,000 and there were 100 participants. This year the organization aims to raise $20,000.

The Sudbury Hospice is a bilingual non-profit community organization dedicated to providing residential hospice palliative care in the Sudbury-Manitoulin Districts.

The hospice’s mission is to help residents realize their full potential to live, even when they are dying, by attending to their physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and practical needs.
