The Sault Ste. Marie HOG chapter is hosting the third annual Phoenix Rising Run fundraiser, this Saturday, Sept. 2 to Monday, Sept. 4.
The fundraiser is in support of the Phoenix Rising Women's
Centre and Non-Profit Homes Inc., a multi-faceted support
service for women. The three-day event features a stop in
Lively and Espanola and also includes a scenic tour of
Manitoulin Island on Sunday, Sept. 3.
The run starts in the Sault with registration taking place
Saturday at the East End Husky from 7 to 9 am. From there,
participants will travel to The Shop in Lively for a barbecue
from 1 to 3 pm. Final registration takes place at the Legion
Hall, 370 Annette St. in Espanola, from 5:30 to 7 pm.
