Spacecraft Brewery presents Montreal comedian Kris Bonaparte in a COVID-safe comedy night Oct. 16.

“Join us for a great evening of live entertainment and enjoy our delicious craft beers and gourmet sandwiches,” said a press release from the venue.

“We are allowed 50 people indoors, so let's space out at Spacecraft and have a great comedy night! The former Greyhound station has a showroom spacious enough to accommodate 44 patrons in a safe, socially distant way.”

"We're ready to launch into laughter, and Bonaparte's comedic insight is the perfect vehicle for that," said part owner John Daniel.

With a laid-back, deadpan style few can match and a long repertoire of hilarious, sometimes -twisted jokes and stories, Bonaparte is a proven crowd-pleaser, Spacecraft said.

He has been making audiences laugh for 25 years now. The Montreal native is regarded as one of the forefathers of that city’s independent comedy scene.

This year, Bonaparte wants the whole nation to hear his rich baritone voice through their nearest device. So with your ticket purchase, you get a free download of his newly released debut album “Kris Bonaparte Is The Truth.”

The show will also feature three of Sudbury's finest comedians: Kevin Schafer, Kevin Shawanda and Lesley Lynn.

Showtime is 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 each, and are available at Spacecraft or through www.premiumcomedy.ca.
