Bravo (cable channel 51) will present One Night with Barry Manilow this Saturday (July 29) at 8:30 pm.
Recorded for the BBC in 2004, Manilow performs hits such as I
Write the Songs, Could It Be Magic?, I Made It Through the
Rain, and a surprise version of Can't Smile Without You
accompanied by his accordion.
The special also includes rare archival footage of Manilow's
1975 premiere appearance on BBC's show The Midnight Special;
and celebrity commentary from the Bee Gees' Robin Gibb, singers
Donna Summer and Dionne Warwick, Eastenders actor Shane Richie,
and 1960s English pop star Cilla Black.
Manilow himself also sits down and recounts personal
anecdotes from his life and career.
This program is followed at 10 pm with much more Manilow.
Manilow performs his classic songs before an enthusiastic
audience at Los Angeles' Kodak Theatre in 2003.
Despite his fame and fortune, some people love to hate
Manilow.
 A community in Australia is using his music to keep
young people from loitering at night.
Manilow's songs are broadcast on speakers from 9 pm to midnight every weekend, and the teens are staying away.
