Bryan Adams, Brooks & Dunn to perform at Sudbury arena

The Sudbury Arena has announced two more concerts that will be visiting the arena's stage in the new year. Singer/songwriter Bryan Adams will make a stop on March 8 as part of his world tour for his latest album 11. American country duo Brooks & Dunn will be taking the stage on March 14.

Bryan Adams has sold more than 65 million records, toured six continents and achieved number one status in more than 40 countries around the world. With hits like Cuts Like A Knife, Summer of '69, Kids Wanna Rock, Can't Stop This Thing We've Started, (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, Open Road, and most recently, Thought I'd Seen Everything, Adams' status as one of the great songwriters of our time has been solidified, a press release stated.

He was awarded the Order of Canada and in 2006, was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the Juno Awards in Halifax.  He has been nominated for Academy Awards, Golden Globes and Grammys.

Tickets for the show are $70 and go on sale Friday, Dec. 19 at 10 a.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. Adams will hit the stage at 8 p.m.

Brooks & Dunn - a duo of Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn - made their debut in 1991 with the first of four singles that all reached the top of the U.S. Billboard country music charts. The duo has had more than 40 singles on the country music charts, 20 of which have reached number one. Brooks & Dunn won the Country Music Association Vocal Duo of the Year award every year between 1992 and 2006, except for 2000.  In addition, they won the Entertainer of the Year award in 1996.

Their hits include My Maria, Ain't Nothing 'Bout You, God Must Be Busy, and Cowgirls Don't Cry.

Tickets for Brooks & Dunn are $94 and go on sale Saturday, Dec. 20 at 10 a.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the concert beginning at 7:30 p.m.
