Burwash Country Music Festival runs Aug. 25-27

Event takes place off of Hwy. 637, better known as the Killarney highway

If you’re a fan of country music, you might want to check out the local Burwash Country Music Festival, which is running Aug. 25-27.

The event takes place at Kakakiwaganda Lake, also known as Rock Lake. (Go to 295 Murdock River Rd., which is located off of Hwy. 637, close to the turnoff at Hwy. 69). 

Gates open at 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Special guest artists include Johnny Rock, Dave McNab, The Fox River Band, Jamie Dupuis and Emma McDaniel, Avery Drive, River Road, Mike Trudell, Marc Serre, Stephan Bernard, Carter Morin, Eric Mullin, Jessy Brunette, Kassie Taylor, Tea & Tequila, Rod Bazinet, Chad Falcon Duo, Andy Lowe, Claude Lecuyer/Ghost Rider and Moonlight Buskers.

Also enjoy swimming, a food truck, teepee teachings, open mic, a kids’ bounce house, campfire pickin' and more. Rough camping (meaning no hydro or water, although portable toilets will be on site) will be available.

Day passes start at $25 per person. They can be purchased via e-mail/e-transfer, or in person at The Chateau Guay Motel and Restaurant.  

A tent weekend pass is $75 per person and for those wanting to bring their trailer/RVs for the weekend $90 per person.
