Cambrian's concert series Sept. 26

The first concert of the Cambrian Concert Series, entitled Two-Piano Wonders, takes place Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 1:30 pm and Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 8 pm. The concert will feature guest artist Soluunga Fang Tzu from the University of Taiwan and Dr.

The concert will feature guest artist Soluunga Fang Tzu from the University of Taiwan and Dr. Charlene Biggs from the Cambrian Music Faculty. 

The program will feature important works written for two pianos by Debussy,  Poulenc and Messiaen.

Both concerts are in the Music Department Recital Hall, Room 1176 at Cambrian College.

Tickets are available at Black Cat Too, Cambrian Bookstore and the LU's Huntington Library.

The music department has also announced new additions to its program. Tunes for Tots  is a creative approach to music fundamentals for children, aged 4 to 8,  and is offered on Thursdays from 4:30 to 5:30 pm.

Scottish Pipes and Drums instruction is now available with world-class drummer  Ian Gibson.  Group or individual lessons can be arranged by contacting the music department.

For those with theatrical inclination, a new course entitled Sing Broadway is offered on Tuesdays at 7 pm, for ages 14 and up.

As well as these new offerings, the academy has courses in Beginners Guitar, Group Voice Class and private instruction in all instrument areas.
