Canadian shorts popular at festival

Canadians make some of the best short films in the world, yet audiences rarely get to see them. Sometimes, they show up on a TVO or a Canadian speciality channel, but because most movie theatres do not run them.

Canadians make some of the best short films in the world, yet audiences rarely get to see them. Sometimes, they show up on a TVO or a Canadian speciality channel, but because most movie theatres do not run them.

That's why the Canadian short series is always popular at Cinéfest .

- Humongous, USA: When Jane is late for work, commuting isn't an option. Like everyone else she must drive her SUV to get to work on time. But this time, nature's had enough.

- Stuff:  The story of the woman who has everything and the man who has nothing, and what happens when they move in together.

- The Porcelain Man: The seemingly normal events of one man's evening. Yet, as the night goes on normal is no longer the case.

- Hoff's New Direction: Meet world renowned artist Hoff Woodburn as he prepares for gala opening of his latest show where he reveals his New Direction.

-  Secret Miracle: The story of a Western journalist's last magical day in captivity after being kidnapped in Iraq by Islamic insurgents.
