On Wednesday, Sept. 10, the Caruso Club will become a hub of business activity as 40 community leaders, who are under the age of forty, will be recognized in a celebration of their success.
Every two years this awards program is produced to honour the rich array of talented individuals who are making a difference to the business landscape, economy and well-being of the City of Greater Sudbury and Manitoulin.
This years event is presented by Northern Ontario Business, and
co-presented by Vale Inco, in partnership with the City of
Greater Sudbury. The first ever 40 Under Forty Awards program
was launched in the fall of 2006.
The program is designed to promote mentorship and professional development by introducing young leaders to the established business community. "The aim is also to continue to make Greater Sudbury and Manitoulin a destination of choice for new business and to promote an active, healthy community, rich in human resources, business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit," says Kimberley Wahamaa, event manager, Northern Ontario Business.
Nominations are open until June 6 to public and private sector young leaders under the age of 40, residing in the Greater Sudbury and Manitoulin regions.
Now is the time to nominate an inspiring and committed
individual, or self-nominate. To become involved in recognizing
and acknowledging young community leaders follow these four
steps:
Fill in a nomination form
Provide a copy of the nominees' resume
Provide a short description of the nominee's company or
employer
Provide a quick summary about the nominee (accomplishments,
level of expertise in their field, community and charitable
activities, letter of reference)
