The Sudbury Chamber Singers present a special concert starting at 7 p.m. on May 13 in honour of the group's 40th anniversary.
The concert features some of the group's favourite pieces over the last 40 years, and a mix of folk, spirituals and Canadian classics.
Special guest artists include soprano Leah Perreault, cellist Dick Van Raadshooven and oboist Nigel Robins.
“We have invited past members to rejoin us so we’ll have an even stronger voice than usual to make our performance of 'Rutter’s Requiem' all the more powerful,” a press release said.
It will be conductor Jeff Wiseman’s final concert with the Chamber Singers, after 12 years with the group.
The event takes place at the Church of the Epiphany. Tickets are $15 for general admission, and children 12 and under are free. They're available at Fromagerie Elgin or from choir members.
