CIG: Sudbury Regional Tournament set for Feb. 20 to 23

The fourteenth annual competition of the CIG: Sudbury Regionals will take place at Confederation Secondary School, on Feb. 20 and 21 and Lockerby Composite School, on Feb. 22 and 23.

High-school teams from across Northern Ontario will perform improvised games to determine this region's representative at the national finals in Ottawa later this year. Complete information is availavle online at www.sudburyimprov.com , any email inquiries can be sent to [email protected] .

The Canadian Improv Games is an improv tournament for high school students. They have regional competitions in 19 locations across Canada - from St. John's, Newfoundland to Victoria B.C. Each region sends a representative to the national finals to determine the national champion. This is the fourteenth year for the Sudbury tournament.

When:
Quarter-finals: Wednesday to Friday, Feb. 20 - 22 at 7 pm

Semi-finals: Saturday, Feb. 23 at 12:30 pm

Finals: Saturday, Feb. 23 at 7 pm

Doors open 30 minutes prior to show start.

Where:
Wednesday and Thursday (Quarter-finals 1 and 2) - Confederation Secondary School
Friday and Saturday (Quarter-finals 3, semi-finals and finals) - Lockerby C.S.

The following teams have entered the tournament so far: Lasalle Secondary School (defending champions), Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School, Lockerby Composite School., Parry Sound High School, O'Gorman Secondary School (Timmins), Timmins H.V.S., Elliot Lake Secondary School, Roland Michener Secondary School (South Porcupine), Bishop Carter, Espanola High School, Confederation Secondary School, Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School and St. Charles College.

Tickets:
- Quarter-finals, $5 at the door.
- Semi-finals, $8 at the door.
- Finals $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
